Treasurer and Assistant Treasurer

The Treasurer and Assistant Treasurer ensure sound management of St. Philips fiscal assets. Responsibilities include development of the fiscal year budget, the count and deposit of contributions, payment of bi-weekly payroll and other invoices, oversite of checking and investment accounts, maintaining financial data, and producing financial reports, and submitting required filings.

 

Counters
The Counters count and deposit weekly contributions. There are five two-person teams, each of which counts once a month.

 

Buildings and Grounds
The Buildings and Grounds Ministry maintains the physical health of the facilities and grounds. Responsibilities include electrical, HVAC, plumbing, alarm systems, building integrity and appearance, and grounds maintenance.

 

Groundskeeping Crews

The Grounds Keeping Crews mow, trim, weed and perform any other grounds maintenance needs. There are four teams, each of which maintains the grounds once a month.

Endowment Committee

The members of the Endowment Ministry seek out and support donors wishing to create new or increase permanent endowments for St. Philips.

 

Stewardship Committee

The Stewardship Committee provides leadership, structure and communication for the members of St. Philips to practice stewardship of their time, talents and treasures on a year-round basis. The committee develops and runs the annual General Fund Pledge Campaign.

 

Investment Committee

The Investment Committee manages St. Philip’s investments in accordance with the Investment Policy to meet long and short-term fiscal needs of the parish.

 

Facilities Utilization

Ministry members work with all parish staff, Ministry Boards and outside groups (as required) to ensure the equitable distribution, access and utilization of non-worship spaces, which are in alignment with short and long-term strategies for St. Philips. The members coordinate needs for additional or modified building requirements on an as needed basis. Requests from outside groups to use the facilities are reviewed and recommendations are provided to the Rector and Wardens.

 

Safety and Security

Safety and Security Ministry members develop and aid in implementation of policies and procedures directed to the health and safety of parishioners. Responsibilities include defining procedures and training for medical emergencies and malicious intruders at the church, defining safety requirements for the buildings and ensuring required medical equipment is available.

 

Insurance Liaison

The Insurance Liaison is the principal contact for St. Philip’s with the carrier of the church insurance policy. This person ensures that the church is adequately covered by its insurance policies and identifies required deductible amounts.


Memorial Garden

Ministry members provide signs and identification markers for cremains that are interred in the Memorial Garden and support the overall maintenance of the area.
