Worship Related Ministries
Worship related ministries include all activities performed by members of our congregation during, or in preparation for our worship services. Opportunities exist for all members whether you are comfortable with public speaking or if you would prefer a less obvious (but just as important) role in preparing for services.
Acolytes - Acolytes assist the bishop/priests during worship services. This ministry is open to everyone, regardless of age. For more information contact the parish office or view the customary online.
Lay Reader/Lay Eucharistic Ministers and Visitors - Lay Readers read the assigned lessons on Sunday prior to the Gospel during the service. Lay Eucharistic Ministers are licensed by the Diocese and assist the rector in distributing the sacrament on Sundays. Lay Eucharistic Visitors are trained and licensed by our Bishop to administer the consecrated elements. For more information contact the parish office at 910-457-5643 or view the customary online.
Altar Guild - The Altar Guild prepares all things necessary for the celebration of the Eucharist or any of the other church sacraments, so they may be conducted in decency, order and beauty.
