The Order of the Daughters of the King
Sara Smith Chapter

What Do We Do?

We sponsor a Quiet Day usually in the fall. We also organize the Easter Vigil, which is kept in the Chapel of the Cross from Maundy Thursday evening until Good Friday morning. Additionally we pray daily from our Prayer List of names, submitted by any member of St. Philip’s and reviewed and updated at our monthly meeting. Our by-laws prohibit us from conducting fund-raising activities.

What’s Our Mission?

The Daughters of the King is a religious order of women who undertake a personal rule of life incorporating a Rule of Prayer and a Rule of Service. Each member pledges herself to a lifelong program of prayer, service and personal evangelism.

How Often and Where Do We Get Together?

Our chapter meets monthly on the second Saturday of each month at 10:00 am in the Parish Hall.

How Can You Get Involved?

We currently have 25 members. We welcome new members; interested women should contact any Daughter of the King. We are easily recognized by the unusual silver cross we wear.
